FAQ'S

Does Lauren MacLean Makeup require a minimum booking fee to reserve a wedding date?

Due to the large volume of bridal requests for peak season (May- September), a minimum book-out fee of $750, or a minimum of three on-location services is mandatory. It is recommended to book a phone consult with Lauren 8-12 months before your wedding date to ensure your date is available to be reserved for you.

Can you accommodate a bridesmaid or family member who decides they want to have their makeup or hair done on the day of the wedding?

A certain amount of time is allotted for services on the day of a wedding and it is decided between the bride (or the person who booked the services) and Lauren prior to the wedding date. If a person requests  to have their makeup done on the day of the wedding, depending on timing, we would of course be honored to accommodate another guest. While saying that, it would need to work with both mine and the bridal party's schedules.

Do all services need to be completed in one location or will you come to me, then relocate to where others are getting ready?

The simple answer is all services must be booked for the same location. A minimum of 3 services should be booked for Lauren to travel out of studio for on-location makeup services. Lauren only does one wedding party per day. To ensure efficiency and optimal time for services to be provided, working at one location is a requirement.

Does Lauren MacLean Makeup require a fee for travel/ mileage?

A travel fee is included in the Signature Bridal Package within Nanaimo.
When travelling outside of Nanaimo a $100/1hr travel fee is mandatory.

Do you do both hair and makeup services for one wedding?

No, we solely specialize in makeup services. If the bridal party is too large for one provider, an assistant will accompany Lauren to help with hair or makeup. The assistant will have talent and expertise and will be Lauren-approved to join her in getting your bridal party ready.

Do you require a non-refundable deposit to reserve a wedding date?

Yes. Due to the large volume of inquiries for bridal makeup, a non-refundable booking fee of $150 is required to both hold a specific date for Bride's and their party, as well as encourage accountability and help prevent late notice cancellations for dates that otherwise would have been booked. This booking fee is non-refundable and covers administration fees and duties.

Do you require a contract to book services with you?

Yes, a contract protects both my clients and myself and ensures that the agreed upon wedding-day plan is rolled out seamlessly.
